In February, Myrthe started as a work student at Brainial and in April she will start her internship for her masters Text Mining at the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam. She did her Bachelors in Linguistics at the University of Utrecht. In this Masters, she focusses on combining her language knowledge with AI-techniques as machine learning and Natural Language Processing to extract more information from texts.
During her internship, she will focus on how Named Entity Linking can be used to extract more information on stakeholders in tenders. Named Entity Linking is a NLP technique where a unique identity is linked to an entity, such as companies or individuals.
Besides her love for languages, Myrthe also likes to go skiing, play card and dice games and loves spending hours in the kitchen. Fun fact about Myrthe: In the summer of 2019, she went to Hong Kong to study Mandarin!
