Brainial’s team of data scientists is growing. We are happy to announce that Teuntje Peeters has joined our team as a data scientist on February 1st!
Teuntje got her bachelor's degree in bioinformatics at HAN. She immediately started her master's Bioinformatics at Wageningen University. After graduation, she worked as a bioinformatics lecturer at HAN. While working as a lecturer, she worked on her own research project focussing on phylogenetics, multiple sequence alignments, and Hidden Markov Models. She got curious about working as a full-time data scientist, so she applied for the data scientist position at Brainial.
One of her first challenges as a data scientist at Brainial is to use natural language processing and machine learning to extract information from Tenders which will save clients lots of time while reading these documents.
Outside of work you can either find Teuntje in her CrossFit box, behind a good book, or she is engaged in activities with friends like doing mud runs or escape rooms.
