Brainial is pleased to announce and welcome Bart Clauwens and Bob Maks as Data Scientists. The senior team members are a great addition to our R&D team to further expand our capability to drive innovation and create awesome features for our customers.
Bart has extensive experience working with very large data sets. He studied Astrophysics at the Leiden University and graduated Cum Laude. He attained his PhD in astrophysics & theoretical physics and he has done research into various aspects of cosmology, which is the study of our Universe on the largest observable scales and from the earliest known times. This entailed bringing together experts from various sub-disciplines, working with very large observational data sets and even larger data sets from supercomputer simulations. Fun fact: Bart is co-founder of Pandora’s Bottle, a specialised wine importer that delivers classic wines from countries like Italy and France to the Dutch market.
Bob holds a Master of Science Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Prior to Brainial, he fulfilled Data Scientist & Growth Hacker roles at Chama, a start-up whose mission is to provide Brazilian consumers a convenient alternative for ordering their cooking gas. In his latest role he was Manager Data at Chama, where he worked from both Amsterdam and São Paulo. Fun fact: Bob taught middle school children English in Zixi, Jiangxi, China.
